Assistance in Learning to Read the Qur'an to Children at Mushola Al-Falah Kemlakagede

The Quran is a human guide in organizing his life to achieve happiness physically and mentally, in this world and in the hereafter. To be able to learn and understand the content of the Al-Quran is not an easy thing, therefore the teacher or ustadz must have a strategy, way or method in teaching it. Among the stages of learning the Quran are reading, translating, and interpreting. As we all know, the first command when the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW was to read it, which of course has a very broad connotation. Then in another verse Allah SWT commands us to read the Al-Quran with tartil (reading the Al-Quran slowly with clear and precise tajweed and makhraj). Mushola al-falah is a place of worship located in Kemlakagede village, Cirebon regency and is a place for children to study the Qur'an. In its implementation, there is a problem, namely the lack of accuracy in reading the Qur'an so that there are some tajweed that are not read. The purpose of this activity is to provide learning to children who recite the Koran so that their reading is in accordance with tajweed. The method used in the shelter is face-to-face teaching the Koran to children who recite the Koran at the al falah mosque in Kemlakagede. The results of the service are an increase in the ability to read the Qur'an with tajweed

Implementation of The KKN Program in Improving The Dental Health of Early Children in Padukuhan Pereng Dawe

This research is centered on endeavors to enhance tooth-brushing habits in young children through the Community Service Learning (Kuliah Kerja Nyata - KKN) program. This program engages university students as catalysts of change, offering education and interventions to young children regarding the significance of dental care and correct tooth-brushing techniques. The study further assesses the impact of this KKN program on the tooth-brushing behavior of young children and provides guidelines for the implementation of similar programs in other communities. Young children are susceptible to the risk of dental damage, which can have enduring consequences for their oral health. Several factors contribute to this risk, including dietary patterns, oral care habits, and parental involvement. One of the primary causes of the risk of dental damage in young children is the neglect of proper tooth-brushing practices. Our observations reveal that 80% of preschool students aged 2-4 years experience dental issues. Consequently, there is a necessity for special measures to mitigate the risk of dental damage in young children. One of the measures we have taken involves providing training on the correct tooth-brushing techniques. We have also developed interactive and engaging learning materials to enhance students' enthusiasm and engagement in the learning process

Increasing Reading Interest in The Community in Kemlakagede Village, Tengah Tani District, Cirebon District Through Reading Park Activities

This activity started with the lack of interest in reading among children in Kemlakagede Village, so it was necessary to create a love of reading books through the "Taman Baca" or reading park activity. Reading park activities are a culture of creating interest in children in reading books. This service aims to increase interest in reading among the community in Kemlakagede Village through Reading Park Activities. The results of the research prove that the implementation of reading garden activities which are carried out regularly, namely every Sunday at 09:00 at the Orchid Park in Kemlakagede Village, can effectively increase interest in reading among the people in Kemlakagede Village, especially children. However, children's interest in reading must also be supported by the synergy between parents and teachers

Hypertension Education and Blood Pressure Screening

Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure has increased abnormally or exceeds the limit of ≥140/90 mmHg. Lack of knowledge about the problem of hypertension for the elderly affects the perception of the elderly in responding to the problem of hypertension suffered. Therefore, providing counseling and blood pressure screening in the elderly population is relevant given that hypertension is a health condition that is often faced by the elderly. This service program aims to help increase knowledge about the prevention of hypertension in the elderly. This service activity includes counseling on hypertension and blood pressure screening, including the definition, diet, prevention, and control associated with hypertension. Evaluation was carried out through discussion and question and answer sessions related to hypertension material. The implementation stage of the activity began a week before counseling by conducting a survey and assessment, followed by analysis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation reporting. This counseling was carried out during elderly posyandu activities in Watugajah VI Padukuhan, using media such as PowerPoint presentations and leaflets. The results of the counseling showed an increase in elderly knowledge related to hypertension material, which was reflected in active participation in the question and answer session

Maggot Counseling Program Padukuhan Pereng Dawe Kalurahan Balecatur

The increase in population has an impact on increasing food needs and also increasing waste / garbage. This condition must be accompanied by an increase in food production and ways to manage waste so that it does not become a burden on the environment. Fulfilling food needs can be done by increasing sources of animal protein. The increase in the need for animal protein has also resulted in an increase in the need for feed. The need for poultry and fish feed is still dominated by industrially processed feed such as powder and pellets. Cultivating black soldier flies (Maggot) is a solution to solving feed problems while reducing waste, because maggot food is in the form of leftover food, fruit and vegetables. Maggot contains high protein and can be an alternative to substitute feed other than puree or pellets and the selling price of maggot is very competitive compared to industrial feed. Then from this phenomenon, we held maggot counseling with the target of Pereng Dawe residents. The activity method is carried out in the form of socializing the importance of entrepreneurship by developing products that have economic value so as to increase their income. The results of this activity are expected to be able to add insight to residents regarding various business opportunities, one of which is maggot cultivation.
