Archiving

The JAHIR (Journal of Advanced Health Informatics Research) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of published articles. The journal employs the following archiving policies:

1. Digital Archiving

  • All published articles are archived and stored in multiple digital repositories to ensure long-term preservation and access.
  • The journal utilizes LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to maintain a secure and decentralized archive.
  • The PKP Preservation Network (PN) provides free preservation services for Open Journal Systems (OJS) journals that meet specific criteria. The PKP PN plugin for OJS 3 is currently in development and will be available in the plugin gallery soon.

2. Institutional and Public Repositories

  • Authors are encouraged to deposit their published manuscripts in institutional repositories, national libraries, and academic research databases to enhance accessibility.
  • Articles are also indexed and archived in Google Scholar, CrossRef, and other indexing services.

3. Self-Archiving by Authors

  • Authors are permitted to archive the preprint, accepted manuscript (postprint), and published version of their articles in personal repositories, institutional archives, and other open-access platforms.
  • Authors must acknowledge that the manuscript was first published in the JAHIR Journal when depositing in external repositories.

4. Backup and Preservation

  • The journal ensures data integrity by maintaining regular backups of all published content.
  • Articles remain accessible even in the event of system failure or unforeseen disruptions through third-party digital archiving services.

The JAHIR Journal is committed to ensuring the permanent availability, discoverability, and preservation of its scholarly content for future generations.
