Self-Archiving Policy
The JAHIR (Journal of Advanced Health Informatics Research) allows and encourages authors to deposit versions of their work in institutional or other repositories of their choice. The journal supports open access and the broad dissemination of research findings through self-archiving.
1. Permitted Versions for Archiving
Authors are allowed to archive the following versions of their manuscripts:
- Preprint (Submitted Version): The version submitted to the journal before peer review.
- Postprint (Accepted Manuscript): The version that has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication, but before formatting and typesetting by the journal.
- Published Version (Version of Record): The final formatted and published article.
2. Repository Options
Authors may deposit their work in:
- Institutional repositories (e.g., university libraries, research centers).
- Subject-based repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, arXiv, Zenodo).
- Public repositories and academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu).
- Personal websites or professional profiles.
3. Licensing and Compliance
- Articles published in JAHIR Journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- Deposited versions must comply with this license, allowing redistribution and adaptation with proper attribution.
4. Policy Availability
This policy is recorded on the JAHIR Journal website, under the Archiving Policy and Open Access Policy sections. The journal is also in the process of registering its self-archiving policy with Sherpa/Romeo and other indexing platforms.
